The Westwood Way is about understanding that we all live, love, learn and lead differently. It's about having integrity and respect for one another, enough to be responsible for our own actions and to encourage others to do the same.

The School Improvement Council (SIC) created a set of values that our school community aims to develop. The five Westwood Way values are: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Empathy and Community. The school promotes these values on the Morning News Show with Value Ads and by having community members talk about how certain values are important in their lives. Every other week on the Red Hot Report, Principal Ralph Schmidt recognizes students and teachers who show these values through their actions. Nominations come from fellow teachers and students.
The emphasis on the Westwood Way Values encourages all members of our school community to be the "Best that We Can Be". |
